KYOCHON F&B, which operates Kyochon Chicken, said on the 16th that it has built a nationwide distribution network for the chicken franchise industry's first "six-day-a-week delivery."
Kyochon's six-day-a-week delivery is a level above the chicken franchise industry's typical delivery frequency of three to four times a week. It expanded the existing every-other-day delivery, which was three times a week, to six times a week, boosting raw chicken freshness and franchisees' operational efficiency.
By increasing delivery frequency to reduce franchisees' inventory burden and supplying raw materials in a timely manner to minimize the risk of stockouts, the company said it aims to enhance on-site operational stability.
Kyochon conducted a pilot program in April for franchisees in the Seoul metropolitan area. Franchisees' response was positive. Accordingly, the company expanded the distribution network nationwide. KYOCHON F&B said it is demonstrating logistics innovation by using the six-day-a-week delivery system for franchisees across the country.
To improve logistics efficiency, the company plans to complete the adoption of a warehouse management system (WMS) and a transportation management system (TMS) by the end of this month. It also plans to accelerate expansion of its third-party logistics (3PL) business and build new logistics networks through six-day-a-week operations and more advanced logistics systems.
A KYOCHON F&B official said, "Six-day-a-week delivery is not simply about increasing the number of deliveries, but a decision that elevates the logistics standards that determine chicken quality," adding, "We will continue to strengthen mutual growth with franchisees through investments in advanced logistics infrastructure."
