CJ CheilJedang's processed meat brand "The Healthy" said on the 10th that it will newly introduce two varieties of "The Healthy low-sugar chicken breast."
The new products come in two flavors, "teriyaki" and "charcoal chicken," and contain 21g and 23g of protein, respectively, meeting more than 38% of the Ministery of Food and Drug Safety's recommended daily protein intake.
Developed with CJ CheilJedang's technology by combining various alternative sweeteners, the new products are designed as "low-sugar" items with 2g of sugars. Released as chilled products, they can be enjoyed fresher and juicier, CJ CheilJedang said.
"The Healthy" was reorganized in on the 7th as a brand that embodies "sustainable health" through a renewal. The The Healthy chicken breast lineup saw its online sales from Nov. last year to Oct. this year rise 48% from a year earlier, further strengthening its position in the chicken breast market.
A CJ CheilJedang official said, "We will continue to introduce a variety of products in line with the health and wellness (H&W) trend and get closer to customers."
