The Korea Management Awards, established in 1988 to promote sustainable growth of domestic industry and strengthen global competitiveness, is the most prestigious award in the domestic management field. This year, in step with the age of AI (artificial intelligence), it created a new "AI innovation" category. With Dongwon Industries selected as the first winner, it has established itself as a leading company in AI use.
Dongwon Industries is the holding company of Dongwon Group. It supports the use of AI across all business areas the group operates. A representative example is the adoption of its in-house AI platform, DongwonGPT. Installed on the company intranet, it can be used with confidence without leaking internal information, and it also supports tasks such as report writing and data analysis to improve work productivity.
Currently, through ongoing advancement, it is expanding the "My GPT," which allows customized services to be set according to job and preferences, and the "AI agent" function, which automatically and repeatedly executes assigned tasks without separate instructions. It plans to link with the group ERP (enterprise resource planning) system to help employees use data organically.

Dongwon F&B uses AI technology to detect bones or foreign substances inside canned products that are difficult to confirm by sight, and it has also built a system to evaluate product design, reducing research expense and shortening the time to launch new products.
