Musinsa said on the 9th that it will begin co-branding Seongsu Station on Seoul Subway Line 2 starting on the 10th. The name Musinsa will be displayed alongside Seongsu Station on interior and exterior station signs, concourse direction signs, platform station signs, platform screen door signs, in-train line maps, and in announcements.
In particular, in Line 2 trains heading to Seongsu Station, an announcement in Korean and English will say, "This stop is Seongsu, Musinsa." Musinsa conducted tests of the announcements after a maintenance period that began in Oct.
Earlier, in Sept., Musinsa took part in the open electronic bid for the "paid sale of station co-branding rights" project announced by Seoul Metro and was selected as the final bidder at 329,292,929 won. The contract runs for three years, with a one-time extension of three more years available.
Since transferring its headquarters to Seongsu-dong in Sept. 2022, Musinsa has built an ecosystem for co-growth with the local community. By unveiling various offline spaces such as Musinsa Standard Seongsu, Musinsa Store Seongsu, and Musinsa Empty Seongsu, it rapidly reshaped Seongsu-dong's commercial landscape around fashion.
A Musinsa official said, "After transferring our headquarters to Seongsu-dong, we continued to expand hiring and investment, and thanks to the clustering effect of K-fashion brands, the local economy was revitalized as well," adding, "We will now broaden win-win cooperation with the local community and small and midsize brands to turn not only Seongsu but also Seoul Forest Road into a leading fashion district representing Korea."
