HiteJinro on the 8th nominated Executive Vice President Jang In-seop, 58, as the new CEO.
HiteJinro said it carried out its regular 2026 executive appointments with this content on the day. HiteJinro noted it conducted the reshuffle as part of a future growth strategy to overcome stagnation in Korea's liquor market and move aggressively into overseas markets. HiteJinro said it will focus on boosting competitiveness going forward through a generational shift in key executives, including the CEO.
The reshuffle includes four new executives in the management, sales, and production institutional sectors, including Executive Vice President Jang In-seop. The new CEO is set to be appointed by the board after an extraordinary shareholders meeting on the 30th.
Jang, the new CEO, graduated from the University of Suwon and majored in business administration at the Graduate School of Business at Sungkyunkwan University. After joining Jinro in 1995, Jang worked across key departments including strategy, legal affairs, policy, logistics, external cooperation, and communications, building a broad understanding of the organization as an insider expert.
HiteJinro plans to wrap up an organizational reshuffle to ensure management stability, strengthen fundamentals, and push its global growth strategy, starting with this regular executive appointment.
