GS25 said on the 7th that this year (January–November), sales in the traditional liquor category of the alcoholic beverage smart order platform Wine25Plus increased 2.4 times from a year earlier. Sales of traditional liquor produced by small and medium-sized breweries surged 5.4 times, significantly driving overall growth.
GS25 said Wine25Plus is collaborating with the traditional liquor curation and distribution platform Daedongyeojudo to support small and medium-sized breweries with sales channel expansion and marketing activities, providing a practical opportunity to take off.
Working with Daedongyeojudo, Wine25Plus newly onboarded 19 small and medium-sized breweries this year, and the number of items operated reaches about 30. In addition, more than 90% of the onboarded breweries are region-based breweries located in provinces such as Gyeongsang and Jeolla, and their expansion into the national market is spreading rapidly.
A GS25 official said, "Through its nationwide distribution network and curation system, Wine25Plus is helping regional breweries grow from 'local brands' into 'national brands,'" and added, "We will contribute to strengthening the traditional liquor industry ecosystem by supporting stable operations for small and medium-sized breweries and establishing a base for new product testing."
