Emart24 said on the 7th that it is launching seven new desserts, including kadaif, matcha, and taro, and will strengthen its dessert category.
The differentiated dessert products Emart24 is unveiling this time are seven items in total: ▲ Choco Castella Kadaif Mochi ▲ Choco Kadaif Mochi ▲ BOTD Matcha-filled Chewy Choco Mochi Bread ▲ BOTD Taro-filled Chewy Choco Mochi Bread ▲ Seoul National University Bread, among others.
As global dessert trends such as kadaif, matcha, and taro are quickly spreading in the domestic market, demand is growing among women in their teens and 30s for new textures and combinations, intensifying dessert competition in the convenience store industry.
Accordingly, Emart24 plans to target younger customers by fronting differentiated desserts with specialty shop-level taste and quality, based on the rising dessert sales driven this year by the "Seoul National University Bread" series.
In particular, it pre-launched these new dessert items at the recently opened flagship store "Trend Lab Seongsu" to confirm customers' positive response and will expand the launch to stores nationwide.
To mark the launch of these dessert products, Emart24 is also running a promotion through the 31st of this month. When customers buy two or more of the seven dessert items with an event card, a 50% discount applies, and a 100-times CJ ONE points accrual benefit has been added.
An Emart24 official said, "As dessert demand continues to grow among younger consumers, we will keep introducing products with trendy flavors and textures," adding, "We will strengthen product competitiveness so customers can enjoy specialty shop-level desserts even at convenience stores, and establish ourselves as a space that offers new dessert experiences."
