Pulmuone said on the 5th that it was selected as the top corporations in the governance institutional sector at the "2025 Korea ESG Standards Institute Excellence corporations Awards," held at the Korea Exchange (KRX) in Yeouido, Seoul, hosted by the Korea ESG Standards Institute (KCGS).
The Korea ESG Standards Institute, Korea's leading ESG ratings agency, evaluates major corporations' ESG (environment, social and governance) levels each year, publishes ratings by category and an integrated ESG grade, and selects and honors outstanding corporations.
Pulmuone won the "ESG Grand Prize" in the 2021 KCGS ESG assessment and received the highest honor, the "Top Award," this year in the governance institutional sector.
Pulmuone earned recognition not only in governance but also for steady performance in the environment and social institutional sector, achieving an integrated ESG A+ grade. Only 19 out of 805 assessed corporations received the integrated A+ grade.
Pulmuone said this award was the result of high marks for ▲ board transparency and substantive role execution ▲ exemplary operation of board committees ▲ overhaul of systems to protect shareholder rights ▲ transparent ownership structure.
Kim Jong-heon, head of corporate planning at Pulmuone, said, "We are very honored that Pulmuone received the meaningful award of 'top corporations in governance' in the ESG assessment by the Korea ESG Standards Institute, which has the highest authority in Korea," adding, "Going forward, under the mission of 'a corporations that creates a healthy tomorrow for people and the planet with right food,' Pulmuone will perform its corporate social responsibility more faithfully with sound and transparent governance as a core asset."
