Daesang said on the 1st it will participate in FiE 2025 (Food Ingredients Europe 2025), to be held in Paris, France, from the 2nd to the 4th.
FiE is Europe's largest food and food additives expo showcasing the latest technologies and trends in food ingredients and additives. Launched in 1986, the expo is regarded as a hub where visitors can see everything from essential ingredients and additives for food manufacturing to the latest trends in the food industry. This year, more than 24,000 visitors, including over 1,550 corporations and professional buyers from about 135 countries, are expected to participate.
At this expo, Daesang plans to showcase three specialty (high-functionality) products, including natural seasoning ingredients, EMULAID, and microalgae. Through its portfolio of ingredients made with Daesang's proprietary fermentation technology, the company aims to expand overseas sales channels and strengthen cooperation with global partners to solidify its standing in the global ingredients institutional sector.
To that end, Daesang will present the natural seasoning ingredient "Dsavory," which enhances a natural umami while preserving the food's inherent taste, and plans to prepare nuggets, soup, and more using it. It will also exhibit six high value-added amino acids, including L-arginine, L-glutamine, and L-citrulline, which are used in pharmaceuticals, health functional foods, and feed.
In addition, it will introduce microalgae-based plant protein ingredients such as Green Chlorella, Goldrella, and White Chlorella, as well as the modified starch EMULAID (EMULAID), which helps prevent oil and water from separating easily, stably maintaining product texture and flavor.
Lee Hyo-hoon, head of Daesang's materials marketing office, said, "This expo will be an important opportunity to promote the competitiveness of specialty ingredients made with Daesang's unrivaled technology, and to identify the latest trends and expand our network," adding, "Going forward, based on Daesang's unique know-how and technological prowess, we plan to strengthen cooperation with global clients and continue to expand our influence on the world stage."
