Premium ice cream brand "Benson" said on the 24th that it will launch four new cakes and two ice creams for the year-end season. Benson is a premium ice cream brand introduced in Korea by Kim Dong-Sun (36), executive vice president overseeing future strategy at Hanwha Galleria, following the premium handmade burger brand "Five Guys." Kim is the third son of Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seung-Youn.
Of the four new cakes, "Blooming Jersey Milk" and "Golden Chocolate Mousse" were released first on the 22nd. The remaining two new cakes, "Candle Wish Strawberry" and "Snowball Jersey Milk," are set to launch starting on the 22nd of next month. In particular, from the 1st to the 21st of next month, purchases and preorders will be available at a 10% discounted price. Starting on the 22nd of next month, all cakes will be sold at regular prices.
New ice cream flavors "Cherry & Chocolate Flake" and "Choco Chip Cookie Dough" will also be introduced. Benson said both products emphasize a mouthful of toppings for texture. Cherry & Chocolate Flake combines black cherry ice cream with cherry pulp and chocolate flakes (pieces), while Choco Chip Cookie Dough contains vanilla cake–flavored ice cream with chocolate chip cookie dough and chocolate chips.
Benson also enhanced in-store presentation with the year-end product launches. Starting on the 14th, it decorated its first Apgujeong location, "Benson Creamery Seoul," with a Christmas theme, including a tree and exterior banners inside and outside the store. An official at Verascoop Creamery, which operates Benson, said, "To meet year-end gift demand, we are bringing Benson's premium ice cream cakes closer into everyday life," and added, "We raised completeness with a clean yet rich flavor and sophisticated design."
