Samsung C&T said on the 21st that it carried out its regular 2026 executive reshuffle and nominated Song Kue-jong (57), head of the corporate planning office (executive vice president), for promotion to president and chief executive officer of the resort division and chief executive officer of Samsung Welstory.
The new president, Song, joined Samsung C&T in 1992 in the construction division's management administration team. After that, Song served in key posts including the management diagnosis team at Samsung Electronics' future strategy office; head of the management support team and head of the business support team in Samsung C&T's construction division; and head of the management support office. Since 2020, Song has served as head of Samsung C&T's corporate planning office, overseeing the company's overall strategy and finance.
Samsung C&T said Song is the right person to lead innovation in the resort division and strengthen its mid- to long-term growth strategy based on extensive business experience and management capability. In particular, the company expects structural improvements in the resort division, including building a stable revenue structure and discovering new businesses amid a complex business environment.
Samsung C&T will also soon finalize and announce the regular 2026 executive appointments for positions at executive vice president and below.
