OTOKI said on the 19th that it launched two varieties of "Light&Joy reduced-sugar liquid tea (yuzu, ginger)" with lowered sugar content in line with the reduction trend.
OTOKI explained that the product maintains tea's inherent flavor while reducing sugar content by 25%, and said it is expected to offer a new option for middle-aged and older consumers who have been hesitant to drink tea due to its high sugar.
OTOKI's "Light&Joy" brand is a light-food line composed of products with reduced sugar, calories, fat, and sodium.
The two new "Light&Joy reduced-sugar liquid tea" products are available for purchase through various online and offline retail channels, including the official company mall "OTOKI Mall."
An OTOKI official said, "This new product was developed so that consumers can enjoy traditional tea more lightly and conveniently in their daily lives," adding, "We will continue to expand choices for healthy eating through Light&Joy products."
