Executive Vice President Jeon Byung-woo, chief operating officer (COO) of Samyang Foods, was promoted to senior executive vice president.
On the 17th, according to Samyang Round Square, the group carried out its regular executive appointments for 2026 across its affiliates and stated accordingly. The new senior executive vice president Jeon was born in 1994 and is the eldest son of Vice Chairman Kim Jung-soo and the eldest grandson of the late Honorary Chairman Jeon Joong-yoon.
The new senior executive vice president Jeon was recognized for overseeing the Buldak brand's global project and the expansion of overseas business. In particular, Jeon led the establishment of the Jiaxing plant in China to secure growth engines for overseas operations, and strengthened the core business competitiveness through global marketing for the Buldak brand, including Coachella, and the expansion of the product portfolio.
In this round of appointments, four people—Strategy Division Head Ha Hyun-ok, Digital Growth Division Head Kang Seok-hwan, Korea Sales Headquarters Head Kim Yong-ho, and Europe Corporation Head Shin Kyung-ho—were newly appointed as executive directors.
