Nike Korea said on the 14th that it has appointed Chase Taylor as its new representative (General Manager).
Taylor, the new representative, joined Nike as a digital marketing coordinator and went on to serve as senior director for the North American market and general manager for South Africa. Taylor is credited with leading growth strategies built on brand and digital.
A native of Eugene, Oregon, Taylor majored in business administration at the University of Oregon. Taylor worked at Nike for about 15 years and built experience not only in digital commerce but also across marketing, strategy, and marketplace development.
Soon after taking office, Taylor personally greeted employees and handed out white rice cakes with the Nike logo engraved, arranged in a bamboo basket. The gesture was meant to show respect for Korean culture as a member of Nike Korea and to emphasize the importance of leadership through communication and empathy.
Taylor, the new representative, plans to strengthen Nike's brand value in the domestic market and focus on expanding consumers' special brand experiences with Nike.
