CJ posts Q3 net profit 302.2 billion won despite slight operating profit dip

CJ said on the 14th that operating profit in the third quarter this year was 665.7 billion won, down 0.7% from a year earlier. Revenue in the same period rose 5.4% to 11.4285 trillion won, and net profit turned to a surplus at 302.2 billion won.

A CJ official said, "Revenue increased on the back of higher sales at Olive Young and expanded parcel volume at CJ Logistics, but operating profit edged down due to a slowdown in the bio business."

On a cumulative basis this year, revenue rose 3.7% from a year earlier to 33.1479 trillion won, while operating profit fell 4.7% to 1.8154 trillion won.
