Pulmuone Food & Culture, Pulmuone's food service company, said on the 13th that it held the "2025 Sustainable Diet Menu Contest" at its headquarters in Songpa-gu, Seoul, to expand the practice of sustainable eating.
The contest was part of a dietary campaign to put Pulmuone's mission of "a corporations that creates a healthy tomorrow for people and the planet through right food" into practice, with companywide employees and their families, as well as university students majoring in culinary fields, taking part together.
The contest was held across three institutional sector: in-house experts (dietitians, chefs, research and development (R&D), marketing, etc.), employees and their families, and university students in culinary-related departments.
In the in-house expert institutional sector, about 150 menus were submitted from around 30 organizations across Pulmuone, including Pulmuone Food & Culture.
The first preliminary round took place on the 12th, the day before, and the second preliminary round is set for Nov. 26. The final and awards ceremony will be held on the 9th of next month, with the winning team receiving up to 5 million won in prize money and a certificate.
The final for the employees and family institutional sector will be held on the 17th of next month. Fifteen teams that advanced to the final are scheduled to compete with live cooking demonstrations.
The institutional sector for university students in external culinary-related departments will go through preliminaries and hold the final on the 22nd of next month. The top three winners will receive prize money and a hiring preference opportunity.
Pulmuone Food & Culture plans to actively introduce the outstanding menus discovered through the contest into its own food service, dining-out, and highway rest area business sites, and to promote FRM (Fresh Ready Meal) productization to spread sustainable eating practices among general consumers.
