Starbucks Korea (hereafter Starbucks) said on the 13th that it will begin reservation orders for Christmas whole cakes on its official app for about a month from the 14th to Jan. 15.
This year, Starbucks prepared a total of 19 cakes. The lineup consists of five premium cakes for in-store pickup only and 14 delivery-only whole cakes that can be received by courier from the online store. They will be unveiled on the 25th and Jan. 2 to coincide with the lineup release dates.
The "Chosun Deli Snowman Cake," created in collaboration with Josun Hotel, is a product that creates a Christmas mood with meringue and chocolate decorations on a cake with a cute snowman face. Since Starbucks first introduced a cake in collaboration with Josun Hotel last year, it has expanded the lineup and released it in limited quantities.
There is also the "Wally Berry Strawberry Cake," inspired by Wally, the character from the "Where's Wally?" series. Inside the Bearista shaped like Wally, layers of mascarpone fresh cream and fresh strawberries are packed.
In addition, ▲ "Forest Bûche de Noël," which coats a dark cocoa roll cake sheet with rich chocolate ganache and tops it with strawberries and blueberries to evoke a forest ▲ "Holiday Chimney Kuchen," which fills a chimney-shaped baumkuchen with white ganache cream and strawberries ▲ "Strawberry Moist Chocolate Fresh Cream Cake," which tops a cake filled with rich ganache fresh cream with fresh strawberries and Belgian dark curls chocolate, are also available.
Reflecting increased demand for Christmas whole cakes, Starbucks plans to unveil the Christmas whole cake lineup twice, on the 25th and Jan. 2. On its app's online store, advance reservations will begin at 10 a.m. on the 25th. Customers who order can receive their items at the date and place they want for about two weeks from Jan. 8 to 23.
Starbucks marketing official Lee Sang-mi said, "With the largest and most diverse range of products ever prepared, it will be fun to find the whole cake that suits your own taste."
