Hotel Shilla said on the 9th that Indonesia-born environmental influencer Aeshnina Azzahra Aqilani, who goes by the activity name Nina, took part in the Jeju Shilla Hotel's eco-friendly program "Jeju Promise Keeper."
Nina has recently been leading environmental campaigns mainly in Asia. After witnessing environmental pollution near her hometown as a child, Nina has continued activities to create a sustainable planet for future generations, delivering "plastic zero" messages in countries around the world.
According to Hotel Shilla, Nina, an environmental activist in the youth sustainable tourism network promoted by the United Nations World Tourism Organization, took part in the "Jeju Promise Keeper" program on the 7th. The program is a mutual-growth initiative co-planned in collaboration between Hotel Shilla and the Jeju Tourism Organization (JTO), and it has participants directly explore biotic elements such as animals and plants and abiotic elements such as soil, wind, sunlight, and temperature to learn the preciousness of nature and the value of respect for life.
Jeju Promise Keeper is run for child guests ages 6 to 12 staying at the Jeju Shilla Hotel. Through activities such as ▲ learning about the region's ecology ▲ inquiry-based activities that directly observe nature ▲ conservation activities making upcycled accessories, children come to understand the meaning of environmental protection and experience nature's cycles.
Meanwhile, during a three-day, two-night stay in Jeju, Nina continued various activities for Jeju's environmental conservation, including participating in Jeju Promise Keeper and plogging on Biyangdo.
