Kolmar Korea said on the 7th that its preliminary results for the third quarter showed revenue of 683.0 billion won and operating profit of 58.3 billion won. Compared with a year earlier, revenue rose 9% and operating profit increased 6.9%.
Net profit for the period was 42.4 billion won, up 79.3%.
The domestic subsidiary posted revenue of 322.0 billion won and operating profit of 44.3 billion won. Revenue increased 17.7% and operating profit rose 19%.
The China subsidiary recorded revenue of 31.8 billion won and an operating loss of 1.6 billion won. Revenue fell 13.1% and it swung to a loss.
Subsidiary Younwoo posted revenue of 61.8 billion won and an operating loss of 200 million won. Compared with a year earlier, revenue fell 15% and it swung to a loss.
A Kolmar Korea official said, "Both revenue and operating profit in the third quarter achieved the highest performance on record for a third quarter," adding, "Robust overseas exports of skincare brands and diversification of the customer portfolio drove growth."
