Global cosmetics ODM (research, development, and manufacturing) corporations COSMAX said on the 6th that it won the innovation award in the beautytech institutional sector at CES 2026 (Consumer Electronics Show 2026) with its customized multi device.
The award-winning "maXpace™" is an all-in-one customized device that can produce everything from skincare products to foundation and liquid lip in a single machine. It was developed in collaboration with Kim Ho-young, a professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University.
Unlike existing devices that were limited to a single formulation, maXpace features a variety of physical properties and color combinations. In particular, for foundation, by combining in-house product development and a prescription algorithm, the entire process from skin and preference diagnostics to manufacturing is set to proceed in real time.
COSMAX plans to use it later at experiential stores such as pop-up stores through client companies. Without complex facilities, products can be manufactured efficiently, which is expected to deliver eco-friendly value and a differentiated consumer experience.
This is COSMAX's second CES award since 2023. At the time, COSMAX won an innovation award at CES 2023 for "Color Jam™," a customized palette device co-developed with Prinker Korea.
A COSMAX official said, "We developed a new device to raise consumer familiarity and design differentiated experiences for each client company in step with the full-fledged era of customized cosmetics," and added, "Through technological innovation, we will open a future era of customized cosmetics that also considers sustainability."
