Nongshim said on Dec. 5 that Shin Toomba was selected for Nikkei Trendy's "30 best hit products of 2025." Nikkei Trendy is a monthly magazine published by Nikkei Inc.
Nikkei Trendy introduced Shin Toomba as "a product that has gained popularity among younger people even in Japan, known as the kingdom of instant ramen." It added, "With its spicy cream flavor and chewy texture, it offers high satisfaction as a meal, and many young consumers found it fun that it is a 'microwaveable cup noodle,' which is rare in Japan."
Nongshim began a full-fledged launch of the Shin Toomba cup noodle in Japan in Apr. through Seven-Eleven, the No. 1 CVS distributor. Since Sep., it has expanded the lineup to bag noodles and is selling them nationwide, focusing on Japan's top three convenience stores—Seven-Eleven, FamilyMart, and Lawson.
