Lotte Department Store's "Christmas Market" will return to Jamsil this winter at a record scale. Lotte Department Store said on the 3rd that from the 20th to Jan. 4 next year, for 46 days, it will present the "Lotte Town Christmas Market," emphasizing an "immersive experience," on the grass plaza at World Park of Lotte World Tower in Jamsil.
Lotte's Christmas Market, which began in 2023 with the motif of "recreating an authentic European Christmas market," drew 240,000 people in its first year and 400,000 last year.
This year's Christmas Market admission tickets will begin first-round sales at 2 p.m. on the 10th through Naver's reservation system. This year's "Fast Pass" reservation allotment is about 30,000, up 20% from last year. The Fast Pass allows entry without waiting in line and is so popular that it sells out as soon as it opens each year.
The Fast Pass is 10,000 won, and the general admission ticket, which allows entry after 4 p.m., is 5,000 won. A pre-entry ticket that allows free entry before 4 p.m. will also be introduced for the first time this year.
The first round of reservation sales can be used from the 20th, when the "Christmas Market" begins, through the 30th. The second- and third-round admission tickets will go on sale on the 21st and on Dec. 8, respectively.
This year's Christmas Market will maintain the ambiance of an authentic European Christmas market with brand collaboration booths and market-specialty food booths, while also incorporating unique elements such as the "Heart Light Show," a moving heart lighting ceremony, and a "Snow Shower" reminiscent of a white Christmas.
Ahead of the Lotte Town Christmas Market to be held in Jamsil, the main store unveiled Christmas decor with a "Sweet Holiday" theme on the 31st.
Jang Hye-bin, head of Lotte Department Store's Signature Events Team, said, "The Christmas Market has already established itself as a signature winter festival that everyone awaits," adding, "Reflecting the strong interest, we will enhance the convenience of advance reservations and, with thorough preparations, present the best Christmas Market ever, delivering a moving experience beyond the wait."
