Kurly said on the 28th that starting on the 31st it will expand its dawn delivery zone to Jeonju, Wanju, and Iksan.
This is the first time Kurly has offered dawn delivery service in North Jeolla Province.
Until now, customers in Jeonju, Wanju, and Iksan could only receive next-day delivery through the one-day delivery service.
With this expansion of the dawn delivery zone, orders placed by 11 p.m. will be delivered before 8 a.m. the next day.
The service opens on the 31st, and orders will be available from 11 p.m. on the 30th.
Deliveries begin on the 1st of next month.
Deliveries for dawn service will be made via a full cold chain from Kurly's Pyeongtaek logistics center.
The Pyeongtaek logistics center is the largest among Kurly's centers, with eight floors and the size of 28 soccer fields.
A key feature is the integration in one place of processing areas at different temperatures by product, including refrigerated, frozen, low-temperature, and room-temperature.
It has the largest ambient-temperature center among Kurly's logistics bases. With North Jeolla Province added to the dawn delivery area, Kurly's transition to nationwide dawn delivery has gained momentum.
In the Honam region, this is a new transition following Gwangju Metropolitan City, Yeosu, Suncheon, and Gwangyang last year.
Previously, Kurly began its dawn delivery service in 2015 centered on the Seoul metropolitan area and has since expanded the zone to the Chungcheong region as well as Daegu, Busan, Ulsan, and Changwon.
Last year, 11 locations including Gyeongju, Pohang, Gumi, and Sacheon were transitioned to dawn delivery areas.
