Lotte Duty Free said on the 16th that it has regained Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification from the tariff service. Lotte Duty Free received this certification in 2015 under the Hotel Lotte corporation and renewed it this time.
The tariff service grants AEO certification by reviewing import and export corporations' compliance with laws, internal control systems, financial soundness, and safety. The validity period is five years, and excellent corporations receive benefits such as simplified customs clearance procedures.
Lotte Duty Free maintained its management standards through improvements to work processes, facility investments, and regular internal inspections, earning high marks and retaining its "AA rating."
A Lotte Duty Free official said, "We have once again proved that we possess internationally trusted import and export management capabilities and an internal control framework," and added, "We will continue to respond flexibly to changes in the global customs clearance and logistics environment by improving systems and strengthening risk management."
