Dongwon F&B said on the 12th that it has released "WILDish gochujang tuna fried rice," co-developed with Japanese seafood processed food company Maruha Nichiro. Maruha Nichiro is Japan's largest comprehensive food company, spanning fishing, aquaculture, processing and distribution.

The collaboration was carried out to strengthen cooperation between the leading seafood companies of the two countries on the 60th anniversary of normalization of diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan. WILDish gochujang tuna fried rice combines Dongwon F&B's "Dongwon Gochujang Tuna" and Maruha Nichiro's fried rice brand WILDish.

The packaging, applying Maruha Nichiro's technology, allows consumers to heat it in the microwave in the pouch and eat it right away without transferring it to a plate. At 220 grams, it is suitable for a single meal.

WILDish gochujang tuna fried rice was first released in Japan in Aug. and sold more than 100,000 units within a month at major Japanese retailers such as Aeon Mall, Cosmos and Chubu Yakuhin.

A Dongwon F&B official said, "The two leading comprehensive food companies of Korea and Japan planned a product that combines each other's strengths," and added, "We plan to continue expanding cooperation across various fields, including pet food."
