Original design manufacturing (ODM) corporations Kolmar Korea said on the 30th it launched KolmarPackage.com, a platform that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to let users view global cosmetics packaging at a glance.
KolmarPackage.com is a web-based platform that allows customers to find the cosmetics packaging they want quickly and easily. Customers can take and upload a photo of the desired package or upload an image, and AI analyzes it and presents similar packages as search results. It also offers filtering by various conditions such as package type (bottle, pump, tube, etc.), contents, country of manufacture, and capacity, reducing the time customers spend choosing.
When preparing to expand overseas, the package sourcing (procurement) period, which used to take 3 to 6 months, can be shortened to within one month. This is thanks to integrating the entire process from package selection to supplier choice, minimum order quantity confirmation, and quote requests. The company noted that handling all sourcing steps in a one-stop manner is expected to improve customers' work efficiency.
The platform is operated in an integrated manner by Kolmar Korea's corporations in Korea, North America, and China. Customers are directly connected with experts in their target business region to receive tailored support.
After selecting a package, customers can receive Kolmar Korea's global total ODM services that proceed to product development, manufacturing, and launch. The platform currently lists about 4,000 types of packages. Kolmar Korea plans to expand the number of package types to more than 10,000 going forward.
