CJ Olive Young said it will transfer and reopen the existing "Olive Young Apgujeong Rodeo branch," located in Gangnam District, Seoul, as a global beauty tourism–specialty store on the 30th.
The revamped store is 260 pyeong, more than five times larger than the previous 46 pyeong.
Considering the characteristics of the Apgujeong Rodeo commercial district, which draws many inbound tourists for beauty tourism, it transferred the previously cramped store to a three-story building closer to Apgujeong Rodeo Station.
The interior was also designed and products were arranged with the needs of global beauty tourists in mind.
The first floor features color cosmetics; the second floor, personal care (hair and body care) and wellness; and the third floor, basic skincare.
It offers a wide range, from care-type beauty tools such as gua sha and lifting bands, and inner beauty items like swelling-reduction teas, to basic skincare for aftercare and even beauty devices.
For the mask pack zone, products are arranged by texture and function, from traditional sheet masks to gel masks, and built at twice the size of "Olive Young Myeong-dong Town" so customers can meet aftercare needs such as calming and swelling reduction as well as skincare needs like elasticity and nourishment.
Brand diversity has also been enhanced. Mask pack brands that had only been available on the Olive Young online mall or at "Olive YoungN Seongsu," such as Nofrub, Another Face, WellDerma, and House of B, will be introduced at the Apgujeong Rodeo branch.
Taking into account foreign customers' interest in skincare tips and personalized product recommendations, a space was also created to experience K-beauty in depth.
A dedicated beauty counseling area was set up on the third floor, where the skincare category is concentrated, and Olive Young's professional consultants will provide personalized beauty consulting through a skin scan (skin diagnosis) service.
Skin scan scalp (scalp diagnosis) and Pick Your Color (personal color diagnosis) services are also available via self-service devices.
