Lotte said on the 28th that it held the "2025 Lotte Global Conference for G-LIFT" for key local talent overseas.
The global conference is a program launched in 2023 to build the capabilities of talent who will grow into next-generation leaders. A total of 111 people have completed the training so far.
Starting on the 22nd for five days, Lotte held the conference at Lotte World Tower and the Lotte Human Resources Development Institute Osan Campus for key local talent overseas. Thirty-three outstanding local employees from 15 affiliates, including LOTTE Wellfood, Lotte Department Store, and Lotte Hotel, took part and received theoretical and practical training.
Notably, at the opening event of this conference, Shin Yu-yeol, head of future growth at LOTTE Corporation and a third-generation member of the Lotte owner family, also attended to encourage the global talent. Shin said, "Global business performance is one of the most important strategies for the continued growth and development of Lotte Group," adding, "You are the key leaders who will realize the global vision and the main players who will shape the group's future."
Lotte is focusing on cultivating talent to create locally tailored value as it pushes into global markets. A representative example is selecting outstanding local employees overseas and running customized training programs by rank, from Head of Team to head of a local corporation.
Lotte said it strengthened the curriculum this year. Participants completed a variety of courses, including understanding the group, leadership and communication, entrepreneurship, performance creation strategies, and business case analysis and practice. They also visited major business sites such as the Shin Kyuk-ho Founder's Memorial Hall, Lotte World Tower, and Lotte World, and attended inter-affiliate meetings.
A Lotte official said, "We plan to continuously develop local talent at overseas corporations to enhance competitiveness in overseas markets and support them so they can grow into global ambassadors who promote the Lotte brand."
