ChosunBiz will host the 2025 Foodtech & Trend Conference on Oct. 23 at the Westin Josun Seoul in Sogong-dong. Under the theme "Foodtech × brand: the technology of taste, the strategy of selling (Food Meets Tech, Brand Meets Future)," the event will look ahead to the future of the food industry where technological innovation and brand strategy converge.
Research heads from major food corporations, Start - Up experts, chief executive officers (CEOs), and academics will take part to discuss the use of Foodtech and strategies for the global market. In particular, Minister Song Mi-ryung of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs is scheduled to present awards to corporations recognized for their Foodtech innovation capabilities.
Lee Gi-ung, head of the Food Science Research Institute at Dongwon F&B, will examine how technological advances affect the industry under the theme "Foodtech, cooking up the future of food companies," and Nam Min-jung, head of Insight Platform, will share the changing landscape of the F&B industry through "The coexistence of analog experiences and digital Foodtech."
Actor Ryu Su-young will present on the theme "Home-cooked meals, becoming a global feast," based on a recent experience teaching a K-food course at Stanford University in the United States, explaining how home-cooked meal recipes are being received in overseas markets and the role Foodtech plays in that process. Twosome Place Executive Vice President Lim Hye-sun will explore the growth potential of the dessert industry and the technological elements that support it through "K-desserts, reversal marketing, and Foodtech."
In the panel discussion session, Seoul National University Professor Moon Jeong-hun will chair an in-depth discussion on the current state and outlook of the alternative noodles industry. To that end, key officials from leading corporations in the industry, including Daesang, Pulmuone, Sempio, and S Foods, have gathered in one place.
