The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said on the 18th that it has ordered a sales suspension and recall after finding that some "Gotgam Pound" products from Paris Croissant, operated by SPC Group, failed to label an allergen.
According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the product was manufactured and sold by Paris Croissant in Daegu, with a consumption date of the 23rd–29th. The recall covers items that used "pine nuts," which require allergen labeling, as materials and supplies but failed to list the ingredient. The ministry asked consumers who purchased the product to stop eating it and return it to the place of purchase.
Paris Croissant said, "It is listed in the materials and supplies name field, but was omitted from the allergen labeling field set by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety," adding, "There is no issue with the safety or quality of the product ingredients themselves."
Paris Croissant said that, in accordance with the ministry's guidelines, it will begin offering full refunds for the product free of charge through its customer center (081-731-2027) starting today. It also said it will immediately add an allergy caution label to the product.
