Sealy Korea said on the 18th that it will produce and unveil its flagship premium product "Crown Jewel" in Korea.
According to Sealy Korea, with this production shift, Korea will be the only region outside Australia to handle manufacturing. All Crown Jewel products currently sold overseas are produced in Australia and then exported.
In Korea as well, all parts had been imported and only assembly was carried out. As a result, it used to take about three months from order to import, but the shift to domestic production has enabled faster supply. Distribution expense has also been reduced, lowering prices compared with before.
Yun Jong-hyo, head of Sealy Korea, said, "Crown Jewel is the most concentrated embodiment of Sealy's heritage and innovation built over 144 years," adding, "It is meaningful that domestic production allows us to supply products more quickly and stably."
