The U.S. representative brand of wine importer Keumyang International, 'Copper Cane,' presents a limited edition wine called 'Belle Glos Ballad.' This wine was created in collaboration with the F&B corporation FG, which was selected as an official sponsor for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) event taking place in Gyeongju at the end of October, and actress Kim Hee-seon.
According to Keumyang International, Kim Hee-seon, known as a prominent wine enthusiast in the entertainment industry, typically prefers the Pinot Noir variety and has enjoyed drinking Copper Cane's Belle Glos brand. In this collaboration, Kim Hee-seon selected the wine by comparing samples of Belle Glos with Keumyang International and FG. They decided to import a label that had never been introduced in Korea before. Additionally, they collaborated with Korean artist 'MARIART' active in the U.S. to participate in the packaging planning and development, adding artistic value.
Ballad means 'stroll' in French and tells the story of Copper Cane's CEO and winemaker 'Joe Wagner' who travels every year to find the best vineyards to craft wine. It is crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grown in California's Santa Lucia Highlands, featuring blackberry and blueberry aromas that blend with well-ripened cranberry notes, leaving a long finish. It received high praise from global wine specialty media, earning 94 points from Wine Enthusiast and 90 points from Wine Spectator.
Copper Cane is the winery of Joe Wagner, the son of the founder of the legendary Napa Valley wine 'Caymus,' and is gaining significant attention in the wine industry. Regarding the wine release, Kim Hee-seon said, 'I am happy to be able to directly introduce the original version of my favorite wine. I hope it becomes a comforting wine that one can enjoy like a stroll, pausing for a moment in the midst of a busy life, just like the story the wine holds.'
Kim Hee-seon's Belle Glos Ballad will be available nationwide at Lotte Department Store starting on the 15th.
