Starbucks Korea (SCK Company) announced on the 7th that it will accept applications for hiring baristas to work at Starbucks locations nationwide until the 14th.
This fall's barista recruitment is open to anyone aged 18 and older, regardless of gender, education, or disability, through an online site. After going through document and interview screening, the baristas who are ultimately selected will begin working sequentially at nationwide stores starting on the 20th of next month. There will be opportunities for promotion to store management positions such as supervisor, assistant manager, and store manager in the future.
Applicants can choose from three types of employment conditions: working 25 hours a week (including weekends) at 5 hours a day, working 15 hours a week (including weekends) at 3 hours a day, or working 16 hours a week (weekend exclusive) at 8 hours a day.
Starbucks baristas can enjoy various benefits, including bonuses paid twice a year during holidays and performance bonuses every six months. They receive vacation (annual, statutory, and special leave), discounts at Starbucks and group companies, a congratulatory gift for completing one year as a barista, rewards for long service, discounts for affiliated recreation facilities, four major insurances and medical expense support, birthday cakes, partner coffee beans, and educational funds for children.
In addition, they support obtaining a four-year bachelor's degree through a degree program in partnership with Hanyang Cyber University. The full cost of tuition is covered during the first semester upon enrollment, and from the second semester onward, the full tuition is supported if an average grade of B or higher is achieved.
