The online shopping platform TMON has decided to indefinitely postpone the reopening scheduled for the 10th.
TMON said on the 3rd, "Due to complaints from affiliate card companies and related agencies, we have had to inevitably delay the schedule," and added, "We will hold a partner meeting that afternoon to quickly share the situation and discuss response directions."
TMON, which suspended operations last July due to a large-scale unresolved and unrefunded incident, was acquired by OASIS and graduated from the restructuring process at the end of August, preparing to sell over 10,000 products with partner companies to aim for reopening. However, some victims have raised complaints demanding the establishment of compensation measures from card companies, causing delays in the reopening schedule.
A considerable number of partners are existing sellers who suffered losses due to the unresolved incident, and TMON's debt recovery rate stands at only 0.76%, meaning that victims have nearly failed to recover their losses.
TMON said it will discuss the reopening schedule again once the payment system is completed with the participation of card companies.
A TMON official noted, "Reopening is only possible with close cooperation with partner companies," adding, "Through this meeting, we will listen to the concerns and suggestions of our partners and prepare practical alternatives to overcome the challenges together."
