BKR (BKR) announced on the 3rd that it has appointed Ahn Tae-yeol as Chief Business Officer.
According to BKR, Ahn Tae-yeol was appointed on the 1st. Ahn is an expert in the food and beverage (F&B) sector and a brand strategist who has served as the head of the Ashley institutional sector at E-Land Group, the APAC representative of Memebox, and the chief operating officer of GFFG. GFFG is the operator of the café 'Noted,' which is well known for its donuts.
BKR explained that this appointment is significant as Tim Hortons is at a point where it has laid the foundation for its business in the Korean market over the past two years and is poised for full-scale expansion. It appears to be a strategic decision to further enhance its food competitiveness, which is a distinguishing feature and strength compared to other café brands in the country, thereby maximizing the brand value of Tim Hortons.
A BKR representative said, 'Tim Hortons is in a second leap stage in driving its business in the Korean market, and we expect Ahn's expertise in the F&B realm and diverse brand experience to act as a strategic catalyst.'
Ahn noted, 'As Tim Hortons, a national café in Canada and the second-largest café brand in the world, is facing significant growth in the domestic market, I will do my best to ensure that more customers can experience the evolving Tim Hortons.'
