ORION's "Kkobukchip" has simultaneously entered all stores of the French retail giant Carrefour. This is the first case for a K-snack product.
On the 2nd, ORION announced that Kkobukchip has entered about 1,200 Carrefour stores across France. According to ORION, Carrefour typically increases the number of stores for new products after going through several stages of verification based on sales performance, but Kkobukchip has bypassed this process and entered all stores at once.
The product being launched for the first time in France is "Kkobukchip Chocolate Churros Flavor." This strategy considers the dessert preferences of French consumers, and plans to introduce various flavors in the future based on market demand.
ORION is currently exporting Kkobukchip, produced domestically, to over 20 countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada, while its overseas subsidiaries in China and Vietnam are engaged in local production and sales. Recently, it has been pushing for expansion of exports to Europe, including Germany and the Netherlands, as well as South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.
