Lotte Tour Development announced that its Jeju Dream Tower resort recorded sales of 59.67 billion won in August. This was an 18.1% increase compared to the same period last year and surpassed the previous monthly sales record of 58.9 billion won set in July.
By institutional sector, the resort sold 45,380 rooms in August, generating sales of 16.619 billion won. This was an increase of about 1.1 billion won from the previous month. The room reservation rate also continued to rise, going from 85.9% in April to 87.6% in May, 89.3% in June, 91.1% in July, and 91.5% in August.
The casino sector also set a record high. Last month, the chip exchange amount, known as 'table drop amount,' was 251.5 billion won, and the number of users reached 57,042, both exceeding the records set in July (240.6 billion won and 56,691 users).
A representative from Lotte Tour Development noted, "As we continue a record-breaking sales streak for two consecutive months, we expect to record even larger profits in the third quarter of this year." He added, "Especially starting from the fourth quarter, when the visa exemption for Chinese group tourists is expanded nationwide on the 29th, a new growth momentum will begin."
