Shinsegae Food announced on the 28th that it has signed a contract to transfer its meal service division to Hanwha Group's Gourmet Galleria. The transfer price is 120 billion won. This transaction is part of a strategic business reorganization to enhance the competitiveness of Shinsegae Food and Gourmet Galleria.
A representative from Shinsegae Food said, "Under the policy of focusing capabilities in areas where we can perform better, we plan to continue our growth and strengthen our competitiveness through a strategy of 'selection and concentration' centered around core businesses such as bakery, franchise burgers, and food distribution."
A representative from Gourmet Galleria noted, "This is not just an expansion of the simple group meal service, but an effort to expand our business portfolio into lifestyle food service in various complex spaces and premium residential complexes."
