Shinsegae Duty Free announced on the 28th that it will launch the limited edition 'Kim Chang-soo Whiskey Travel Exclusive' in collaboration with Kim Chang-soo, the first Korean single malt whiskey distiller, starting at 10 a.m. on the 29th through its online store.
This product has been released in a limited quantity of 138 bottles and is available for purchase only through the Shinsegae Duty Free online store.
'Kim Chang-soo Whiskey Travel Exclusive' is a single cask whiskey aged for 4 years and 3 months in a European oloroso sherry quarter cask personally selected by distiller Kim Chang-soo. The use of a smaller quarter cask enhances the aging efficiency, resulting in a deep and rich flavor.
It is bottled at a cask strength of 50.8% alcohol by volume, allowing for an experience of the pure aroma and taste of the original liquid. The use of rye malt adds creativity and distinctiveness.
The label of this limited edition features a red flower inspired by the Shinsegae logo. It is designed to convey the meaning of gifting a bottle of whiskey as if handing a flower to someone at the last moment of a journey.
