The Korea Ginseng Management Corporation announced on the 27th that the specialized brand for mental health, 'Waiting Agarwood,' launched by Jeonggwanjang, has gained popularity, surpassing cumulative sales of 10.2 billion won since its release in April last year.
This is a result of agarwood gaining popularity as a natural ingredient for modern health. As the demand for agarwood rose, unverified quality agarwood began circulating in the market, leading consumers to seek trusted brand agarwood, which was concentrated on the Jeonggwanjang brand.
Jeonggwanjang's Waiting Agarwood is made using agarwood varieties recognized for use as food in Korea. There are over 20 types of agarwood, but the Korea Food and Drug Administration's Food Code only permits the use of 'Aquilaria malaccensis' and 'Aquilaria agallocha Roxburgh.'
A Jeonggwanjang official said, 'Waiting Agarwood is made using only Aquilaria malaccensis, an Indonesian agarwood ingredient registered in the Food Code,' adding, 'We use high-quality ingredients that confirm the origin of the agarwood through genetic analysis and verify the grower, cultivation site, and grade through certification.'
This is the result of combining various products such as 'Waiting Agarwood Extract,' 'Waiting Agarwood Pills,' 'Waiting Calm Pills,' and 'Waiting Peace Set.'
