On the 27th, Baemin and the Korea Restaurant Association, a small business group in the food service industry, announced that they have signed a 'mutual cooperation agreement for the development of the food service industry.' This aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the food service industry and cooperate for the growth of business owners.
According to Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baemin, key officials, including CEO Bom Kim and Chairman Woosuk Kim of the Korea Restaurant Association, attended the signing ceremony. Through this agreement, the two companies plan to jointly conduct ▲ capacity-building training program planning and operation ▲ cooperative research and studies on the food service industry ▲ offline events in the food service industry.
In particular, the capacity-building training program will consist of practical, customized training for food service operators targeting sales growth and operational efficiency through artificial intelligence (AI), along with practical training to enhance the capabilities of the branches and divisions of the Korea Restaurant Association. In addition, a joint trend report will be published to suggest the direction of food service business and policy, and a cooperative system for the production of the Korean Food Industry Statistics Yearbook will also be established.
Baemin plans to jointly plan and operate the main programs of the 'Baemin Partner Festa,' an event for food service operators to be held in December this year, with the Korea Restaurant Association. CEO Bom Kim of Woowa Brothers said, 'Through this agreement, we will consolidate the strengths of both companies to expand support that can provide practical help to restaurant owners.'
Chairman Woosuk Kim of the Korea Restaurant Association noted, 'The food service industry must grow for the delivery sector to develop alongside it,' and expressed hope that various projects beneficial to food service operators, including education, management support, digital transformation, and policy linkage, would be promoted through this agreement.
