Cafe24 announced on the 20th that the cumulative number of downloads for its exclusive e-commerce app market, 'Cafe24 Store,' has exceeded 1 million.
Cafe24 Store is an application market designed exclusively for online businesses, allowing them to apply e-commerce features, including artificial intelligence (AI), to their shopping malls. After surpassing 100,000 cumulative app downloads in 2020, it exceeded 1 million downloads after seven years of service operation.
In the first half of this year, the total transaction amount of Cafe24 Store increased by about 80% compared to the same period last year. The average annual growth rate of transaction amounts in the first half over the past three years has been about 76%, indicating a steady growth trend.
Cafe24 Store was created to allow online businesses to easily purchase the necessary functions through apps, similar to downloading apps from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Of all the apps, 20% incorporate AI technology, and the company noted that businesses with no knowledge or personnel related to development can easily operate D2C (direct-to-consumer) shopping malls through the store.
Recently, the number of apps in each category of Cafe24 Store has increased by more than 50% compared to the previous year. This is a result of the launch of various apps in fields such as AI, data analysis, and customer relationship management (CRM), in addition to the core solutions that previously showed strong performance, such as marketing, logistics, payment, and inventory management.
Lee Jae-seok, CEO of Cafe24, said, "The growth of Cafe24 Store is a signal that the domestic e-commerce ecosystem is taking a leap forward," and noted, "As we enter an era where AI becomes commonplace, we will continue to support the expansion of the ecosystem so that all online businesses can become the protagonists of advanced technology."
