The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 18th that the '2026 Spring/Summer (S/S) Seoul Fashion Week' will be held throughout the city and at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) from the 1st to the 7th of next month.
Seoul Fashion Week is a fashion business platform that introduces new products a season ahead and facilitates the consolidation between designers, customers, buyers, and media. This year marks the 25th anniversary, showcasing fashion shows against a backdrop of various attractions in Seoul, including DDP, Deoksugung-gil, Hongje-yuyeon, and Heungcheonsa.
The event will kick off with Anderson Bell. Anderson Bell will present a fashion show infused with urban sensibility and Korean aesthetics along Deoksugung-gil, reflecting the essence of Seoul. Renowned fashion and beauty figures, including stylist Robby Spencer, hair artist Marie Ohashi, and makeup artist José Carlos González, will participate in the show to enhance the collection's quality.
A relay fashion show will also be held at Hongje-yuyeon, Heungcheonsa, Mondrian Hotel, and DDP Art Hall, featuring 27 domestic designer brands.
The 'Berlin showroom,' which organizes Berlin Fashion Week, will participate for the first time in this year's Seoul Fashion Week. Twelve promising brands will showcase their collections at the Gangnam MCM showroom from September 2nd to 3rd.
From September 4th to 6th, a trade exhibition featuring 74 brands and a showroom tour with 20 showrooms will take place. Three floors at DDP Design Lab will have booths for 74 brands, while close consultations between buyers will occur at individual showrooms in the Seongsu, Hannam, and Gangnam areas.
Prior to this, the city is inviting 102 promising buyers from 22 countries and will accept pre-registration requests from domestic and international fashion stakeholders on the Seoul Fashion Week trade show website until September 3rd.
The '2025 Fall/Winter (F/W) Seoul Fashion Week' held in the first half of this year achieved a record-high order consultation performance of $6.71 million (approximately 9.4 billion won).
Joo Yong-tae, the head of the Seoul City Economic Office, noted, 'Seoul Fashion Week is evolving into a K-content cultural platform that connects the city, its citizens, and the industry, going beyond merely presenting collections.' He added, 'We will continue to enhance the competitiveness unique to Seoul Fashion Week by nurturing the distinct emotions that various landmarks of Seoul provide and through global collaboration.'
