Binggrae announced on the 14th that its consolidated operating profit for the second quarter was 26.8 billion won, a decrease of 40.3% compared to the same period last year. During the same period, sales amounted to 409.6 billion won, reflecting a 0.5% increase from the previous year.
Operating profit for the first half of this year was 40.2 billion won, a decrease of 38.9% compared to the previous year. Sales reached 718.1 billion won, marking a 1.4% increase from the previous year.
Binggrae noted, "Despite the uncertain economic environment both domestically and internationally, the export growth trend to major countries like the United States, Canada, and Vietnam continued, but subdued consumption due to unfavorable weather conditions and a contraction in the domestic economy persisted." It added, "In the second half of the year, an improvement in domestic peak season weather and the effect of people's livelihood recovery consumption coupons are expected to expand the sales of core products," stating, "Revenue and profitability are expected to improve somewhat through diversification of export countries and expansion of exported products."
