SPC Samlip reported a consolidated operating profit of 8.8 billion won for the second quarter of this year on the 14th, which is a decrease of 67.5% compared to the same period last year.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system, SPC Samlip's revenue for the same period was 823.5 billion won, a decrease of 3.05% compared to the previous year. For the first half of the year, the consolidated cumulative revenue was 1.6384 trillion won, with an operating profit of 24.8 billion won.
The performance of SPC Samlip is interpreted as being affected by the incident that occurred at the Siheung plant in May. It appears that the suspension of some production at the plant due to the incident inevitably worsened profitability.
