HANSSEM announced on the 11th that it recorded sales of 459.4 billion won and operating profit of 7.1 billion won in the second quarter. This represents a decrease of 3.9% and 68.2%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. However, it has achieved a profit for nine consecutive quarters since the second quarter of 2023.
A representative of HANSSEM said, "We have strengthened our competitiveness in areas such as remodeling, which has focused on business-to-consumer (B2C) transactions, premium furniture, and online sales channels, showing positive results. We will expand our strategic investments from a medium- to long-term perspective, using this momentum to solidify our growth trend."
The rehouse division showed growth compared to the previous year, despite the current long-term real estate recession, making it difficult to expect growth. In the midst of the overall market downturn, the high-end brand Nexus also achieved its own results.
The home furnishing division's optimization strategy for online distribution channels has yielded results. Sales from key malls such as Naver, Ohouse, and Coupang have grown significantly, establishing a foundation for the simultaneous growth of affiliate malls and HANSSEM mall.
A representative of HANSSEM emphasized, "Despite the challenging market environment of prolonged construction industry sluggishness and consumer contraction, we have continued to invest for enhancing our core competitiveness and have established a foundation for medium- to long-term growth. In the second half of the year, we will implement investment strategies aimed at expanding market share in the home interior industry and maintain a management trend of efficiency to ensure robust growth befitting a number one company in home interiors."
