Samyang Foods announced on the 11th that its Red Chicken brand "Fire Chicken Sauce" will collaborate with the largest Asian dining brand in the United States, Panda Express.
According to Samyang Foods, the newly launched menu item through this collaboration is "Dynamite Sweet & Sour Chicken." The crispy fried seasoned chicken is stir-fried with red bell peppers and onions and finished with the "Fire Chicken special sauce." It is recognized as the spiciest food among the offerings of Panda Express so far.
The "Fire Chicken special sauce" used for this menu was co-developed by both companies. Featuring the intense spiciness of Fire Chicken Sauce and the harmony with Cantonese-style sweet and sour sauce, it is characterized by a sweet and sour taste that is both spicy and tangy. The "Dynamite Sweet & Sour Chicken" will be available for a limited time until October 7th at selected Panda Express locations in 10 cities across the United States.
This collaboration illustrates that the Fire Chicken brand not only has secured recognition and brand preference in the U.S. market but also acknowledges its influence and value to collaborate with a local dining brand, according to representatives from Samyang Foods. Samyang Foods plans to intensify its overseas market expansion strategy targeting spicy food enthusiasts worldwide, starting with this collaboration.
A representative from Samyang Foods noted, "Fire Chicken Sauce and Panda Express collaborated under the shared value that 'food is a language that connects the world,'" adding, "We expect that through this collaboration, which contains innovative recipes, a creative spirit, a deep respect for culture, and unique spiciness, we will be able to get closer to consumers worldwide."
A representative from Panda Express said, "The legendary spiciness of Fire Chicken Sauce has rejuvenated Panda Express's popular menu items," and added, "Especially, we expect that customers who enjoy spicy flavors, including the Gen Z generation, will be thrilled by the bold and explosive taste of 'Dynamite Sweet & Sour Chicken.'"
