Campari Korea announced on the 7th that it will launch 'The Glen Grant' single malt Scotch whisky, inspired by nature, with its 'Arboralis Cask Strength' being released for the first time in the country.
According to Campari Korea, The Glen Grant is a single malt whisky brand established in 1840 in Scotland's Speyside region. Its unique distillation method, utilizing slim stills and rectifiers, results in a smooth and delicate flavor.
'Arboralis' means 'light shining through the trees' in Scottish Gaelic. It is characterized by its completion of flavor through blending, not bound by the years of maturation. Produced using the cask strength method, it is bottled without dilution from liquid aged in Spanish sherry casks and American bourbon barrels. With a high alcohol content of 58.5%, it captures the rich and deep flavor inherent to whisky without adding a single drop of water.
The rich fruit aroma and spiciness inherent to sherry casks harmonize with the vanilla and oak notes derived from bourbon casks, showcasing a high-purity flavor. Despite the high alcohol content and complex aromas, it is launched at a reasonable price, making it accessible for a wide range of consumers, from whisky beginners to enthusiasts, Campari Korea explained.
'Arboralis Cask Strength' will be exclusively released at CU convenience stores. To commemorate Liberation Day, it will be available for online pre-sale from the 11th to the 17th, with a limited quantity of 815 bottles through Smart Order.
Starting from the 3rd of next month, it will also be sold in offline stores nationwide. Various consumer promotions, including tastings, will be conducted for some consumers who purchase the product through Smart Order.
