Although the prices of agricultural and livestock products are sharply rising due to the heatwave and heavy rainfall, the plan is to provide consumers with actual price benefits through advance stockpiling.
This event will focus on essential ingredients for Boknal, such as chicken, pork, and abalone. "Two young chickens" will be sold for 9,990 won. Domestic pork belly and neck meat can be purchased at a 40% discount when paid with the event card from the 7th to the 10th. "Steamed pork ribs for health food" will be available for 1,390 won.
The wholesale price of domestic pork was 6,482 won per kilogram as of the 1st, up 31.2% compared to the same period last year. In response, Lotte Mart explained that it has secured over 50 tons of stock a month in advance to maintain price competitiveness, considering market fluctuations.
For health foods like abalone and octopus, additional discounts are applied per item with a 20% discount from the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. Convenient health foods such as "conger eel sushi" and "CJ Bibigo Seolleongtang" will also have price discounts and promotions for bulk purchases to ease price burdens.
