Dongwon F&B announced on the 1st that it will export the probiotic drink 'Denmark Take Alive' to China following Japan and Taiwan.
Denmark Take Alive began its overseas exports in May last year, starting with its entry into Costco Japan. It sold over 13 million units within a year of launching in Japan.
Sales started at Costco Taiwan in April this year, and it will be available at Costco China in August. A Dongwon F&B official noted, "Denmark Take Alive has reached all Costco stores across Asia."
Denmark Take Alive is characterized by its unique fruit flavor of sweet grapefruit combined with probiotics and functional ingredients such as vitamins.
Building on its success in Costco Asia, Dongwon F&B plans to pursue entry into the U.S., the home of Costco.
Additionally, they plan to expand sales channels through localized marketing to cultivate Denmark Take Alive as a global brand.
A Dongwon F&B official said, "Denmark Take Alive, Coolpis, and Boseong Green Tea, among other Dongwon beverage products, are receiving much attention in overseas markets," and added, "We will continue to introduce various beverages with differentiated tastes and functional ingredients based on our 40 years of accumulated manufacturing technology, expanding exports globally."
Denmark Take Alive was launched in 2015. It contains 600mg of vitamin C per 250mL cup, equivalent to the amount in 8.5 lemons. Originally launched as Korea's first cup-type probiotic drink, Denmark Take Alive is now available in various forms and sizes, including cup types (250mL, 300mL), sterilized packs (120mL, 200mL), and PET bottles (500mL).
A Dongwon F&B official reported, "The cumulative sales volume over the past 10 years has reached around 400 million units."
